This years award winners are were given to two individuals studying Turfgrass at universities in New England . The awards were given out during the Field Day activities at New Britain , CT.:

• Justin Laliberte of Franklin, MA. who attends the University of Massachusetts. He is pursuing his degree in Plant Science, and is planning a career in the field of Sports Turf Management. Justin has worked for the past three summers at the Foxboro Tree & Park Department.
• Tim Burns of Northampton, MA also attends the University of Massachusetts . He is pursuing a career in Turgrass Management, and plans to become a Certified Sports Field Manager after graduation. Tim has worked for the Longwood Cricket Club, and most recently with the Boston Red Sox.
